Voter registration forms have started dropping through letterboxes across the Welshpool area and you are being urged to respond as soon as possible to make your voice heard at the County and Community Council elections next year.
Electoral Registration Officer, Jeremy Patterson and his staff have sent forms to households to compile the electoral register and if you haven't received your’s, contact 01597 826202.
Mr Patterson, said: "Registering to vote is very simple. Where there are changes to the household update the annual canvass form with the details of everyone who is eligible to vote and return it to us as soon as possible. Help save the council money if there are no changes by confirming your details by text, freephone or internet or if preferred just return the form.
"Some people may not realise that they have to register every year. It is important that you complete and return the registration form so you're able to take part in next year's elections."
