Teachers strike to hit high school

 

Teaching union UCAC is taking industrial action, resulting in the school being able to provide a full timebtable. But the head teacher, Mr Jim Toal, has said all students should still attend school as normal.

 

“To enable suitable provision during those lessons affected, we are requesting that students who have a lesson in C23, C22 or C21 on Wednesday bring suitable reading material with them for that period when an independent supervised reading session will be undertaken,” he said.

 

Mr Toal added that further industrial action could well be taken later in the term.
