Welshpool High School will welcome back its pupils tomorrow (Thursday) in good shape following a £165,000 summer spruce up.
Time has been catching up with the premises and an initial survey carried out showed that up to £254,000 would need to be spent on the latest phase of works this summer.
But Powys County Council has confirmed that significant savings have been made to the re-roofing phase which has been completed in time for term to begin.
