No to town centre 20mph

Welshpool will not be crawling to a 20mph speed limit after the town council was told it would not be imposed.
Town Clerk Robert Robinson has been told by a senior member of the Welsh Government’s highways team that it would not be reduced from 30mph in a bid to stop one-way speeders.
While describing the decision as “disappointing” Mr Robinson said he was still hopeful that better a pedestrian crossing would be created close to the town hall.
