More people are getting connected to mywelshpool, with more than 1,000 computers logging on daily.

And while our Google Analytics figures show that many of you have bookmarked our site as a favourite on your computers or as a shortcut on your smart phones, increasing numbers are finding us through Twitter and Facebook.

Our Facebook group now has more than 2,150 members who receive a daily round-up around tea time to let them know what’s happened on that day, but it is our Twitter followers which have really taken off.

This week, we passed through the 300 mark with nearly 100 following us over the past fortnight alone following a note that we posted on Facebook reminding readers of our free service.

“It is important to let people know what is going on in whichever way people receive their information and that means utilising both Facebook and Twitter,” said mywelshpool co-founder David Williams.

Sister site mynewtown now has more than 1,250 followers meaning that more than 3,600 people are connected to us through social media platforms every day of the year.

And with our promise to always bring you the latest news and sport free of charge, there has never been a better time to get connected.

Not a member of Twitter?

Nor were we until six months ago when we discovered how easy it was to join and use.

To open an account, go to www.twitter.com and it will guide you through the simple process. Once joined, search for us @mywelshpool and click ‘follow’. It’s that simple and you’ll soon realise it is not just for celebrity stalkers!
