Make Spinathon your New Year’s Resolution!

 

Welshpool Fire Station has confirmed that the annual Spinathon will take place at the Flash Leisure Centre on Sunday, February 12, aiming to raise thousands of pounds for the Marie Curie Cancer Care.

 

And the advice is to book early when the bikes go on sale for booking tomorrow (Tuesday) as they have sold out in the first week for the past two years.

 

“We are expecting this year’s event to be bigger and better than before with 96 bikes available at £30 per bike,” said a Fire Station spokesperson. “You can either hire a bike on your own or in a team of four.”

 

This will be the firefighters’ final fundraising event for Marie Curie following a year which has seen an incredible £5,000 raised to date from events like the Midnight Walk.
