Here comes the rain... again!

Dark clouds are gathering over Welshpool and the forecast is for more rain, increasing pressure on the town’s flood defences.

The road outside the airport remains closed and while some motorists have been stranded trying to get across, our picture from reader Ian Francis shows how one brave resident made it to work this morning (Wednesday)!

Flood warnings remain in place and residents are urged to only make essential journeys through areas prone to flooding with reports that the straight after Llandrinio Bridge is also now flooded.

More rain is forecasted this evening and over the next two days before it is expected to ease up by Friday.
