Dozens of messages have been posted on a Facebook Group set up in memory of 14-year old Jim Hodgson (pictured) who tragically died after his bike was struck by a car on Thursday afternoon.
Brave Jim died in Birmingham hospital on Friday afternoon, sparking an outpouring of grief for the teenager who lived close to the Arddleen accident scene.
The youngster had attended Welshpool High School and Brynllywarch School in Kerry with many of his former classmates and their parents among the first to post on the RIP Jim Hodgson wall.
One school friend posted: “R.I.P Jim you’re a legend and you will never be forgotten.”
Sue Hendry, who created the group, wrote: “When I heard Jim had passed away, I thought 'Why, it is so unfair ?', but it’s true that God only takes the good ones young. Jim touched so many people’s lives in the short time he was here, and I hope that everyone will remember how honest, kind and happy he was with life, he made the most of every single day.”
Meanwhile, police have renewed their appeal for information into the accident and anyone with information should contact the Road Accidents unit at Newtown Police Station on 101.
