The family of the 14-year old who died following a collision with a car on the A483 between Four Crosses and Arddleen have paid tribute to the popular teenager.
James Edward Hodgson, known better as ‘Jim’, from Arddleen died the following day in Birmingham Hospital following the collision at 4.40pm on Thursday.
“Jim was a very generous, giving and sensitive young man,” said family friend Cathy Jervis, on behalf of the family. “He was popular and made friends easily. He was a member of Four Crosses Young Farmers and embraced being a member of the farming community. Jim had a natural affinity with animals.
“This tragedy has left an enormous void in all of our lives. He was a fantastic son, brother and Grandson.”
Meanwhile scores of people have now signed up to the Facebook Group RIP Jim Hodgson to leave their own tributes.
Investigations into the cause of the collision are ongoing. Anyone with information should contact police at Newtown Police Station on 101.
