School pays tribute to accident teenager

10/01/2012 @ 03:31

The headteacher of the school where 14-year-old Jim Hodgson was a pupil has paid his own tribute to the teenager.

Jim (right) died on Friday at Birmingham Hospital, a day after he was involved in a collision close to his Arddleen home.

“Jim had been a student at Brynllywarch for just over two years,” said headteacher Gavin Randell. “He was a very popular student with both pupils and staff.  Jim was a very thoughtful young man who was always happy to help other students and had a great sense of humour.

“Jim will be sadly missed by staff and students at the school and at this difficult time our thoughts are with his family.”

Investigations into the cause of the collision are continuing and anyone with information is asked to please contact police at Newtown Police Station on 101.
