Fairness survey extended

01/02/2012 @ 11:12

Local resident have an extra week to take part in research to find out views on fairness. The research is being carried out by Powys County Council and Powys Teaching Health Board.

The 'How Fair is Powys?' survey was due to close at the end of January but it has now been extended to February 7. An online survey can be found at www.powys.gov.uk/haveyoursay  while paper copies of the questionnaire are available from libraries across the county.

Both organisations are particularly keen to hear from people over the age of 60, people with disabilities, people who are gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender and people from black and other minority ethnic groups.

In addition, if there are groups of people (or individuals) who would like to meet the council's Equalities Officer, they are requested to make contact by emailing equalities@powys.gov.uk or by telephoning 01597 826376.

The information gathered will be used to help shape the council's and health board's equality objectives for the coming years.
