Calling all budding writers

21/02/2012 @ 06:34

Aspiring authors are being offered to the chance to visit Newtown Library for advice on how to write and publish a novel from acclaimed local writer Alan Blood.

Alan, who resides in Caersws, has written many books, poems and radio plays over the years and his most recent novel “Cry of the Machi – A Suffolk Murder Mystery” was released in August last year.

The book revolves around a woman who moves into the fictitious Suffolk settlement of Thorpe Amberley, however her arrival coincides with a series of ritualistic killings, transforming the village forever.

He will be talking about the background to the book, as well as offering tips on the process of writing and achieving the publication of a novel.

The free talk will take place on April 3 from 3-5pm, and refreshments are available.
