Has retail park fallen through?

 

The company behind the latest proposed phase of development has withdrawn its building application to Powys County Council, without further comment.

 

J.Ross Development had re-submitted plans for shopping units after an initial wave of opposition to its first application, but the project now appears to have been canned once and for all.

 

Objectors warned that the units could become a white elephant after the failure of luring national retailers to the Phase One units next to Tesco, which also now appear to have been mothballed.

 

However, J.Ross Development is pressing ahead at pace with its Marston’s pub and restaurant which will be called The Good Shepherd.
