Town Council looks for more youth

01/03/2012 @ 05:08

Are you aged between 15-25 and have a genuine care and concern for Welshpool? Then why not become a councillor?

Last December, Owen Bass was appointed as a Youth Representative to the Town Council to work alongside the elected councillors who are now approaching the end of their term in office.

But the Town Council is able to appoint a second Youth Representative and are welcoming applications now.

Town Clerk Robert Robinson explained: “Applicants must be aged between 15-25 years and live within the Welshpool Town Council area and be able to commit to two Wednesday evenings per month.”

Those interested will be asked to make a two-minute presentation to the council on a chosen subject.

Applications can be made to wtcouncil@btinternet.com
