The official Sport Relief 2012 merchandise is now on sale at Sainsbury’s Welshpool, with staff also planning a sponsored walk to Newtown on Sunday.
With the theme of this year’s Sport Relief campaign being ‘Go the Extra Mile’, Welshpool staff have planned a number of fundraising activities over the next few weeks in a bid to beat the supermarket chain’s £5.4m raised nationally by Sainsbury’s customers and colleagues for Sport Relief in 2010.
Katherine How, Sport Relief Sponsorship Manager at Sainsbury’s said: “There are loads of active ways for Welshpool Sainsbury’s customers to get involved in Sport Relief this year, from purchasing our wide range of Sport Relief merchandise through to supporting our colleagues in their fundraising activities.”
