Date clash won’t cause a scene

 

Welshpool Projects Group’s business forum had discussed delaying or cancelling the event but has agreed it should continue as there is only a small overlap in timing.

 

Councillor Alan Crowe said he had discussed the clash with organisers of the Help For Heroes function and was confident the two events could run on the same day.

 

“The Help For Heroes event doesn’t start until 2pm and Street Scene will be looking to end around 3pm,” he said. “Hopefully one will compliment the other.”

 

Street Scene will see craft stalls lining the town’s streets with a food fair and entertainment throughout the day. The Projects Group has committed £1,000 towards the event.
