Local signs of car market recovery

While there are still very few encouraging signs of economic recovery nationally, one local car dealer says it is set to post a second successive record month.
Vauxhall dealers Arthurs says it is heading for another record month for new and used car sales, service and parts at their Pool Road dealership in Newtown.
Sales boomed in record-breaking March with service and parts 110% ahead of target. Used car sales also reached a record high due to record breaking new car sales.
“From April figures so far we are confident that this trend will continue,” said Dan Bray, After Sales Manager.
