Train and vehicle crash on Welshpool line

A four wheel drive vehicle towing a trailer was involved in a collision with a train at a crossing on the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway this morning.

The minor collision happened at the New Drive Crossing when the vehicle is believed to have been driven into the side of a passing engine - The Earl.

No-one is believed to have been injured and the train was able to continue its journey.
