Election called for vacant council seat

 

The issue hit the headlines last week when it appeared that Powys and Welshpool were at loggerheads over how the vacant seat should be filled.

 

But it has been confirmed that the election will take place on September 13.

 

Anyone interested in standing for election should contact the County Offices at Severn Street Welshpool or the Town Clerk’s Office at Triangle House Union Street Welshpool to obtain an information pack and nomination forms.
