Get your antiques valued tonight

As we previously reported last week, a team of experts will be at Powis Castle tonight (Thursday) for a local charity version of the Antiques Road Show.Experts from fine art auction house Halls will be there from 6pm-8pm with a charge of £1 for each valuation. Proceeds will go towards the upkeep of the famous National Trust property.
The experts will value ceramics, furniture, works of art, paintings, silver, toys, books, militaria, jewellery, coins, sporting items and textiles and it will be staged in the Castle’s Annexe, where the restaurant will be selling refreshments and the shop will offering a 10 per cent discount on items for the night. Castle staff will also be on hand in the Ballroom to give free advice on caring for antiques.
Kathryn Pollock, Powis Castle’s retail manager said: “Powis Castle and Garden is known for its superb collection of treasures from across the world, so it would be really exciting to see if a new treasure can be discovered within the local community.”
