-          “There are many other leads that we are actively pursuing in our effort to find April”
-          400 messages received from the public since morning appeal and actively working through them to prioritise
-          Over 20 scenes and several have been searched. All in the Machynlleth area
-          Search operation is continuing to grow at quite a pace
-          Over 100 Specially trained search officers from throughout the country
-          Over 100 mountain rescue volunteers

-          Suspect Mark Bridger has been interviewed twice since his arrest at 3.30pm yesterday (Tues)

Earlier today, April’s mother Coral made a heart wrenching appeal for her daughter’s safe return before breaking down in tears and police revealed Bridger, 46, as the man they arrested and issued a picture of his Land Rover Discovery, which is blue in colour.

Police are keen to piece together his movements from 5pm on Monday (two hours before April was abducted) and 3.30pm Tuesday when he was arrested walking towards Machynlleth, north of the Dyfi Bridge.

“If you saw him between these times, even if you have the smallest if information, please get in touch on 0300 2000 333," said Det Supt Bevan.

The Discovery was recovered from the Old Station Road repair garage on Tuesday afternoon.
