A massive entry of 105 over thirty month old cattle sold very well to average of 118ppkg for 91 older cows, 3 bulls averaged 136ppkg, 5 under 48 month old heifers averaged 142ppkg and five under 48 month old steers averaged 143ppkg. A top quality limousin cow weighing 894kg from A A Collocci Great Cloddiau sold to a top price of £1466.16. J A Williams Llechewedd Ddyrys sold a Limousin cow weighing 701kg to £1079.54. A A Collucci Great Cloddiau receives the Briarwood Products Ltd prize of £25 for the highest price older cow sold on the day. Only 9 fat cattle presented for sale today, selling to an average 169ppkg for the steers and 191ppkg for the heifers. D W & L Jones Arbennig sold two Limousin heifers to 225ppkg and 220ppkg. E E & MJ Jones & Sons Cwmbychan sold a steer to 188ppkg and a heifer to 186ppkg. DW & L Jones Arbennig receive the Briarwood Products Ltd prize of £25 for the highest price per kilo animal sold on the day. Weekly sale of Fat cattle every Monday at approximately12.30pm. An entry of 3148 cull sheep on offer for sale today, sold to average £42.00 for the ewes and £64.00 for the rams. Top price of the day for the ewes was £130 per head from R E Lewis Gribin. Top price for the cull rams was £152 per head from T C Evans 10 Heritage Green. Weekly sale of cull sheep to immediately follow the sale of fat lambs at approximately 12noon.    

A good entry of 1600 breeding ewes. Yearling ewes achieving a top price of £148 for Welsh mules from W C G Davies & Son Tynypwll. Two year old ewes achieving a top price of £130. Three year old ewes gaining a top price of £88 from B Lewis Tycrugan Full mouth ewes achieving a top price of £84. As found ewes achieving a top price of 376 and an entry of 104 theave lambs achieving a top price of 3767 from CJ & M Davies & Son.

Store Lambs. An entry of 964 store lambs achieving an overall average of £52.13. Theave lambs gaining a top price of £66 from M & H Evans Tycerrig. Mixed and Clean lambs sold to a top price of £63 from H M Rogers Upper House. Wether lambs making a top price of £55.20 from JT & GH Jones Talerddig. Tup lambs gaining a top price of £55.80 from T M Davies Wynnstay Farm. Mixed and tup lambs achieving a to price of £67 from D E Bennett Cwmgwernog. Theave tup lambs achieving top price of £52 from A Williams Tanllan. Sale to commence next Monday, Store Lambs at 10.30am.

An entry of 12 Dairy Cows met with an excellent trade, the best seen for a while which was worthy fo the cattle on offer. Top price was £2110 for a Brown Swissx heifer giving 36litre a day from P W Pritchard and K A Loake Cefn Heylin. From the same home was another Brown Swissx which made £2000. At £200 was an eclipse daughter giving 27 litres presented by R R Corfield & Son Bronynant. N Samuel Lower Ystrad sold 2 British Friesian heifers for £2000 a piece. From R N Thompson Oak Green Farm where three heifers selling for £1980, £1950 and £1900. WA & EM Morris Maestanyglwyden sold a heifer for £1920. A Breakdown of the prices achieved where as follows:
