Loyalty card passes 1,500 members

 

Shops in Welshpool, Newtown, Llanidloes, Montgomery, Llanfyllin and Llanfair Caereinion have already signed up to allow holders of the Local Loyalty Powys card to receive discounts and this Friday a marketing push in Newtown aims to attract more members here.

 

Local Loyalty Powys Manager, Rachel Hitchcock, said: “Membership volume has suddenly taken off, and I have just had to order another 1,000 Membership cards to keep up with demand. This is great news for participating Local Loyalty Traders, and I want to make sure these Traders are properly supported and appreciated for the special offers they are giving our Members.”

 

As a further boost in the run-up to Christmas, the membership cards will be free of charge.

 

“The scheme aims to encourage local people to save money in local businesses and we are looking to bring more towns and businesses on line in the coming weeks,” added Rachel.
