Police are warning residents to take extra security measures when they go on holiday after a house was burgled in Berriew.
The occupants, who have not been named, returned from holiday on October 21 to find their house had been broken into.
Jewellery was taken along with a King George VI medal, issued in 1937, with an inscription on the rear. The details of the engraving have been withheld by police.
A police spokesperson said: “Home owners should regularly review their security arrangements. Properties that are vacant even for a short period of time are potentially vulnerable.”
Anyone with information should call Dyfed Powys Police on 101.
