According to the government’s Money Advice Service, families in the UK are set to spend a record £29billion on Christmas this year.
Despite this it seems that it won’t necessarily be money well spent with many people admitting to being unimpressed and in some cases horrified by the gifts they receive.
This is according to a new survey conducted by online delivery service myhermes.co.uk which unveils an array of bizarre, unusual and quite simply ‘bad taste’ gifts that were received in Wales last year. Top highlights included:
· Car air freshener
· Salt and Pepper Pots shaped as seals dressed as Santa that leaked
· Broken wind up torch
· Photo copy paper
· Out of date biscuits
· Black latex gloves
Over 100 people took part in the survey and respondents listed numerous broken or out of date items.
The survey found that 7% of people in Wales were considering selling their unwanted gifts.
