Guilsfield residents who thought they had seen the back of speed humps are out of luck, they are about to return.
While some were glad to see the back of them, there have been growing calls for their return after speeds through the village increased.
And this week, the Leader of Powys County Council, Cllr David Jones, who also represents Guilsfield, ended the speculation.
“The road resurfacing has made a terrific difference to driving through the village, but it is disappointing to see that traffic speeds have increased outside the school whilst the traffic calming ‘pillows’ are removed,” he said.
“They will be replaced shortly with pre-fabricated concrete units. In the meantime, I urge motorists to take extra care.”
