Keep your Norovirus germs at home!

Welshpool has been struck by an outbreak of the Norovirus with sick residents told to keep their germs at home.

The bug is ruthless and causes victims to vomit and suffer from diarrhoea with reported cases growing by the day across the Welshpool area.

But residents are being told to stay clear of the doctors and hospitals and to stay at home to wait for the bug to pass. Even then, they are advised to avoid contact for a further 48 hours.

“This virus is extremely contagious so avoid contact if you are showing the symptoms and stay at home,” said a spokesperson for the Powys Teaching Health Board.
