The Friends of the Montgomery Canal are inviting residents to join them on Friday for a spruce up of the renovated Welshpool town lock area.
New lock gates were installed before Christmas, but bad weather has prevented a more extensive clear up and lick of paint being added.
Volunteers are invited to turn up at 9.30am at the town lock where paint will be provided. They are also invited to bring along a packed lunch and sturdy boots as a litter pick-up will be conducted along the area.
