Oh no, get set for Spotted 2, the sequel!

As pressure mounts on the administrators of Spotted: Welshpool to close the page following a week of abusing local residents, the town is waking up to a sequel called Spotted Welshpool 2.

The Spotted: Welshpool Facebook page has caused outrage since appearing last week, but despite the foul language, sexist content and cringe-worthy use of English, it has attracted almost 1,000 followers.

It encourages readers to send in their comments which are then re-posted anonymously by the site’s administrator.

Residents have contacted us to air their anger and the police confirmed that they are monitoring the site.

However, with the days seemingly numbered for Spotted: Welshpool, a new site called Spotted Welshpool 2 has appeared overnight with followers rapidly signing up.

However, if the administrator’s use of English is anything to go by, don’t expect its quality to be much better!

“Send in your comments n i will post them n u will remain anonymous :)” they posted before encouraging “Come on people let's get the ball rolling :)”.

Last week, Welshpool High School distanced itself from a Spotted page set up unofficially by students which deteriorated into what many described as “online bullying”. Many others around the UK have also left a trail of controversy and been taken down.
