Messrs Morris Marshall & Poole and Norman Lloyd & Co report on the Store Cattle Auction held on Tuesday.

A catalogue entry of 250 Store cattle met with an excellent trade once again, with the trade equally as good as the end of February for the cattle that where on offer. Bidding was brisk from the start to finish with buyers from Staffordshire, Cheshire and Shropshire, mixing it up with local Powys buyers to give an overall average of 220.8ppkg for the bullocks and 203.0ppkg for the heifers. Averages per head of £923.46 and £826.92 respectively.
