Local amateur thespians will go head to head in the Wales Drama Festival's Montgomeryshire Regional Final next week, with a place in the All-Wales final at stake.

Guilsfield will be represented twice following the success of their recent ‘Harsh Reality’ nights that saw them perform two one-act plays - Blue Remembered Hills and Lucy in the Sky.

They will be up against performances from Llanymynech (who also have two plays included), Corndon and Berriew.

The Festival’s local final will take place at Berriew Community Centre on April 5 (7.30 pm) and 6th (7pm) with an entrance fee of just £5 per evening or £8 for the two. As an added incentive, the All-Wales final takes place in Montgomeryshire at The Hafren on May 31 and June 1.
