MyWelshpool has discovered that there are 11 chunks of unregistered land hindering plans to route a pylon channel through the heart of Montgomeryshire.
Yesterday, National Grid admitted they were searching for information into landowners on their proposed pylon route so that land surveys can be carried out.
The energy giant plans to carry power from windfarms currently in the planning process and earmarked for west of the shire across the land via a power station in Cefn Coch.
The plans have been met with strong local objection, but nevertheless National Grid is continuing with its work.
After searching the maze of web pages on the Grid web site, we have discovered the 11 files showing maps of the unregistered land. They are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
The lands in question can be seen at http://www.nationalgrid.com/uk/Electricity/MajorProjects/MidWalesConnection/MidWalesDocuments/ and scroll right to the bottom of the page.
