Criggion site now on the market

06/06/2013 @ 10:05

The site of a former Second World War and Cold War telecommunications centre is up for sale just a week after we highlighted its plight.

The Criggion radio station between Oswestry and Welshpool was recently branded an eyesore after being left to rot after being vacated by BT in 2003.

Now the 223 acres of agricultural land around the buildings has been put up for sale with an combined price of £1,350,000.

And estate agent, Balfours, has revealed that the building could also be available by separate negotiation.

Tim Main, head of sales at Balfours, said: “It will be interesting to see how much the site sells for. It is for sale as a whole or in two lots, lot one extending 125 acres, with an asking price of £750,000 and lot two 98 acres, asking price £600,000.”
