Jobs fair in town
Welshpool jobseekers interested in a career in social care are invited to visit a careers’ fair later this month.
The Welshpool fair is being promoted by Powys County Council, Careers Wales, Job Centre Plus, Social Care in Partnership, PAVO and Unison.
A spokesperson for Powys County Council said: “The events are aimed at bringing employers with job vacancies together with local people seeking work.
“Visitors will be able to talk directly to prospective employers, careers advisors, Job Centre Plus advisors, and professionals within social work and the social care sector.
“There will be practical advice for jobseekers including help with interview preparation, accessing training, training standards, registration requirements and other job related advice.
“The events are open to anybody interested in or finding out more information on working within the social care sector and are entirely free.”
The session, on June 26 at the Royal Oak, will run from 10:30am-2pm.
