Crown Court for Welshpool five

Five Welshpool men involved in a brawl at The Dolphin public house in Llanymynech are to appear at Mold Crown Court.

Matthew Barnes, 21, of Bron y Buckley, Welshpool, Liam Nicoll, 20, of Heritage Way, Llanymynech; Joshua Parry, 20, of Garth Owen, Newtown; Sam Williams, 19, of Gungrog Hill, Welshpool; and a 17-year-old who cannot be named for legal reasons all deny a charge of affray.

Burns, Nicoll and Parry also deny assaulting David Kynaston occasioning him actual bodily harm.

They appeared for committal at Welshpool Magistrates Court on Tuesday following the incident on November 16.

Their next appearance will be at Mold Crown Court on August 2 when a trial date will be fixed.
