New transport link for villages

A new charity transport link will service rural communities between Welshpool and Oswestry.

The dial-a-ride service is run by Qube in Oswestry, and will provide transport to rural areas and for those with mobility problems.

Organisers are appealing for volunteer drivers and volunteer passenger escorts with passengers able to arrange a door-to-door service from the more out of the way parts of the area. It is hoped that the elderly, disabled, and rurally isolated in the area will use the service regularly.”
