Organisers have revealed that Welshpool’s annual Country & Western, held in glorious sunshine over the last three days, raised £12,000.
The event raises money for the Welshpool-based charity Heulwen Trust and attracted hundreds of people from across the UK who watched top notch live acts at the showfield grounds in Powis Castle.
More than 300 caravans and tents were counted on site with large numbers of people from the area boosting the attendance figures.
The Trust, formed in 1985, runs free canal trips for the disabled and needs over £30,000 a year to stay afloat.
