Rain causes wall to collapse

The return of rain over the weekend caused a wall on the entrance to The Armoury to collapse, resulting in the car park closing for the rest of the week.

Rain returned to Montgomeryshire on Saturday and staff at the town's health and fitness centre were met Sunday morning by parts of the wall collapsed across the access road. The road will be closed for health and safety reasons and will only be opened once the remainder of the wall is deemed safe.

“We are open as normal, but would ask members and visitors to use alternative parking for the rest of the week,” said The Armoury’s Chris Greatorex.
