Last call for Funathlon entries

A last call has gone out for entries to the ‘Funathlon’ taking place on September 8 in aid of Cancer Research and Air Ambulance.

Entries close soon for the event starting at Maldwyn Leisure Centre, Newtown, at 1pm (noon signing on), consisting of 16 lengths of the pool (eight lengths for U16), followed by a cycle past the police station to pick up the river path and the canal to Abermule. Then the route goes on to Llandysil, picking up the Forden Road to Gaer Cottage.

The final part is a three-mile run from Gaer Cottage to The Cock, Forden, for free food. Bikes can be dropped off at Gaer Cottage and on request they will be taken to The Cock. Competitors enter at their own health risk and organisers take no responsibility for bikes.

Competitors can enter individually for £15 or £30 as a team. Competitors can enter just one event or combine two.
