Parents urged to fill in survey

01/11/2010 @ 01:58

A survey has been distributed today (Monday) for parents to give their views on the future of Welsh medium education provision in the Welshpool area.
The survey, commissioned by Powys County Council, will see a short questionnaire being sent to parents of all children in the area born between September 1, 2007 and August 31, 2008.
Cllr David Jones, Board Member responsible for Schools and Inclusion, said: “The results of this survey will feed into our School Modernisation programme and will help us deliver Welsh medium education that meets the needs and wishes of parents of young children in Powys.
“The questionnaire should only take a few minutes to complete and we are urging parents to fill in and return the questionnaire to ensure that their views are taken into account in planning for the future of Welsh medium education in Powys.”
Completed questionnaires should be returned to ORS in the Freepost envelope provided with the questionnaire by Wednesday, December 15.
