Celebrate walking festival at Powis Castle

To celebrate the Great British Walking Festival, Powis Castle is conducting free tours of its famous terraced garden every Wednesday throughout September and October.

Beginning at 10.30am, visitors will be treated to an exclusive behind the scenes tour led by knowledgeable head gardener, David Swanton.

“This is an exciting opportunity for visitors to see many of the areas of the estate usually closed to the public,” he said. “The gardens are breathtaking at this time year so it’s certainly worth joining me as I reveal the garden’s secrets and celebrate the Great British Walking Festival.”
