The burglars are back

The dramatic arrests of suspected thieves targeting local rural communities last month hasn't put off gangs targeting the area after another break-in was reported.

Raiders broke into an outbuilding in Llanfechain last Wednesday night and despite some of the items being found in the graveyard of St. Garmon’s Church, others are still missing.

“I’d like to remind householders of the need to make sure their properties and outbuildings are properly secured,” said PC Bob Beaman, who asked anyone with information to call Llanfyllin Police Station on 101.

Two weeks back a police operation snared two men near Llanerfyl who have since appeared before magistrates charged with a spate of rural thefts.
