Sex offender admits new charges

A Four Crosses man on the sex offenders register faces jail after admitting making and possessing indecent images of children.

The BBC is reporting that Stephen Meredith, 60,  admitted four charges at Welshpool Magistrates' Court after he underwent a routine check by officers at his home, and warned them about the contents on his computer.

Meredith admitted three charges in relation to making indecent images of children and admitted possessing indecent images of children.

They were discovered during a routine check at Meredith's home on May 2 by police due to him being on the register.

When they entered the home, the BBC reports that he told them he had “something on my computer that's not good”.

Magistrates told Meredith he faced jail and bailed him conditionally until November 14 for sentencing.
