Funeral confirmed for bus tragedy teen

The father of the Welshpool 16 year-old who tragically died after being struck by a bus last week in Newtown has confirmed funeral arrangements via a Facebook group set up in his memory.

Kyle Fawcett died following a collision with the bus in Back Lane after spending an afternoon playing football with friends in Newtown. Police have continued their appeal for information and witnesses to the incident.

Writing on 'RIP Kyle Fawcett Gone But Never Forgotten' dad, Alan Fawcett, said: “Kyle’s mum has today arranged the funeral for November 16 at 3.20pm at Shrewsbury Crematorium.”

Mr. Fawcett also made a plea for people to contact him for more information in order to give the youngster’s brother and sister space to grieve.

The statement also said “anyone is welcome” but no flowers should be brought and donations will go to the Help For Heroes charity which was supported by the youngster.

Kyle was an engineering student at Coleg Powys and had hoped to become a mechanic in the Army.
