Scrap and battery thefts on the up

Dyfed-Powys Police is warning local residents to be vigilant following a spate of scrap metal and old car battery thefts.

With the value of scrap increasing, thieves are increasing their raids with many visiting business legitimately in business hours to scout potential targets.

A police spokesperson said: “Given that they have now become items of value, Dyfed-Powys Police would like to urge people to treat them the same way as any other valuables. Lock them up and make life difficult for the thieves!”
