Christmas coming early to Llandrinio

24/11/2010 @ 01:31

Christmas is coming early to Llandrinio as Santa will arrive at the Village Hall Christmas Fayre at 6.30 on Friday, bringing presents for the children who come to see him.
Organisers say there will be plenty of Christmas and other stalls at the Fayre, with refreshments available. Entrance is free.
Llandrinio Village Institute is raising funds for the refurbishment of the Children's Playground and during December it will be providing an Over 60s Lunch on Sunday 12th, a Santa Tour on Saturday 18th and, finally, a Children's Christmas Party on the afternoon of Sunday 19th, followed by Carols round the Christmas Tree in the early evening.
Chairman of the Village Institute, Mark Davies, said: “This is the first time we've had a Children's Christmas Party for some years and we're looking at the event as a stepping stone to providing more activities for young people in the area. The Village Hall has a wonderful range of facilities for the size of the community and we want to promote it more as a venue for a variety of social occasions.”
Details of current activities can be seen in The Bridge community magazine on www.llandrinio.org
