The woman who died when a car crashed into a wall at Maesbury yesterday afternoon has been named locally as 42 year old Sherylene Norris.

The crash on the corner of Woolston Bank near Maesbury happened just before 4pm yesterday afternoon, and police confirmed the woman was declared dead at the scene but have not officially named the victim.

Friends have been paying tribute to Ms Norris on her Facebook page. She was a former pupil of Welshpool High School and a self employed hairdresser. She had and had formerly worked at the Black Horse in Maesbury
