Welshpool police have made three arrests after two separate raids on Thursday targeted drug dealers in Welshpool and Llanfyllin.
A male and female in their 40s were arrested in Welshpool after a quantity of cannabis and amphetamine was recovered, while a man in his 30s was also arrested in Llanfyllin after a drugs warrant was executed and a quantity of heroin and cannabis was seized.
Sergeant Darren Brown of Welshpool police said: “We will not tolerate drugs misuse whatsoever and encourage members of our communities to report their suspicions to us so that we can deal with individuals and groups rapidly and effectively.
“We don’t have a major drugs problem in the area, but there is a minority of people who continue to use drugs in their everyday life, this can have an impact on crime and anti-social behaviour in the area. Quality of life issues such as drug and alcohol misuse and anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and we will endeavour to deal with these issues positively with our partner agencies to improve the quality of life for our residents.”
