20/04/2015 @ 09:45

Two local organisations are joining forces to organise an Ageing Well Coffee Morning in Llanfyllin on Monday, April 27.

Care and Repair in Powys and North Montgomeryshire Volunteer Bureau have arranged the event at the Public Institute, High Street, from 10.30am to 1pm.

Anyone aged 60 or over is invited to join them for free coffee and cake, and a chance to find out about staying healthy, happy and safe in retirement and older age.

Gaynor Astley, Casework at Care and Repair in Powys, said: “The Coffee Morning in Llanfyllin will be an opportunity  to give people information they need and for them to talk to representatives of organisations in the area that can provide them with assistance and support.”

Other organisations taking part with information stands include the Red Cross, Powys Carers Service, Age Cymru, Wiltshire Farm Foods and Mid and West Wales Fire Service. There will even be a demonstration of Tai Chi at 12pm from Aidan Ackerman of Mid Wales Housing Association.

For more information about the Ageing Well Coffee Morning, please contact either North Montgomeryshire Volunteer Bureau on 01938 554484 or Care and Repair in Powys on 01597 824040.
