The Welshpool area really does have some dynamic youngsters with another popping up on the MyWelshpool radar.

Like the rest of us, 13-year-old Morgan Bowen was horrified by the suffering caused by the earthquake that shook the very foundations of Nepal, one of the world’s poorest countries.

The death count rises relentlessly as more isolated communities are reached and it will take years for Nepal to recover.

But rather than just watch the horror unfold on his television, the Forden youngster decided he needed to do something, and quickly.

“Morgan was really touched by what he saw,” said his mum, Vicky. “It was all very sad but he was determined to help in whatever way he could.”

The budding artist decided to sell 100 prints of his one-off signed and numbered 'tiger' prints (pictured) at a requested cost of £5 per print.

“The response was staggering. He was sold out in four days!” said his proud mum. “Every penny will go to the charity that helps those suffering and so far he has collected £519!”

“Morgan would like to say a special thank you to everyone who has supported him through this journey including big thanks to WPG Ltd for kindly providing the 100 prints and also The Smithfield Bell who supported him in selling his remaining few prints.”

Father Dean added: “We have been truly overwhelmed with all the local support and ‘watch this space’ for Morgan's next adventure!”

A fantastic effort young man!
